About Counselling

Counselling helps us to understand why we think, feel and behave the way we do. As a counsellor, I do not offer advice or tell you what to do, but provide a safe, confidential and supportive environment so together we can discuss any issues you are finding difficult and explore ways of managing them which feel more comfortable.

The initial complimentary session involves gathering information, touches on what brought you to counselling and how you would like the process to support and help you. Subsequent sessions last 50 minutes and the focus of those sessions is determined by you, the client.

I believe we each have individual and unique needs and my Integrative approach enables me to draw from a wide range of counselling models to suit each client. Working together, we can raise awareness around any issues you may be currently facing, as well as working through any historic, unresolved issues that still impact your life and wellbeing today. Achieving awareness about yourself through our sessions, can offer a new insight about how you relate to others. This new perspective can enable you to take greater control of your life and the choices you make, improving your overall sense of wellbeing.

You will probably know when it feels right for you to end counselling, and the decision to end is always yours. As that time approaches, we will work together to help you feel more confident in your ability to manage life's future demands.
